Where do donations come from?
Donations come from shoe stores, shoe manufacturers, private individuals, local businesses, professional associations, and both local and national corporations. Donations are made in the form of a new pair(s) of sneakers , a check made out to Stepp'n Up Shoes, Inc., or a secure online donation made through our website.

Are donations tax deductible and is Stepp'n Up a not-for-profit organization?
Stepp'n Up Shoes, Inc. is a registered 501(c)(3) non profit charity established for the purpose of raising funds and seeking contributions of shoes for the benefit of economically disadvantaged children. Your donations are tax-deductible.
How and when are shoes distributed to children?
Stepp'n Up seeks out partnerships with other established charitable organizations in local communities agencies such as Childrens Home Society of Florida, Florence Fuller Child Development Center, Boys and Girls Clubs of Broward County, and the Giving Tree. We aim to work with these organizations to identify children in need and get specific information on the gender, age, and specifically shoe size information. This ensures that we can provide shoes that fit children properly. Typically, Stepp'n Up distributes shoes around the holiday season in December but we have also done "back-to-school" distributions in the late summer.
How can I get involved?
You can get involved by personally making a financial contribution to Stepp'n Up, purchasing and donating new sneakers, or organizing a shoe drive in your workplace, neighborhood, or place of worship. Additionally, we have developed a guide which individuals can use as a template to set up a service project of their own in their local community. This guide can be followed to help set up service projects of any kind.

If you are an individual who would like to be part of our annual shoe drive, please email us at email@example.com.
If your company would like to involve all of your employees to be part of our annual shoe drive, please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org. There are no requirements for corporate involvement except a willingness to encourage your employees, no matter how few, to each purchase a pair of new shoes for a child in need.
